Locations and distances
We're well connected
In many respects Sweden in general and the BASE
region in particular has a very well developed infrastructure. Whether
you come or go by car, bus, boat, train or plane you will find that
convenient travel arrangements will facilitate both your business
and your leisure life here.
A mere one-hour passage by high-velocity train
will take you to Stockholm's Arlanda international airport from
where you can reach any number of European and overseas destinations.
Situated a mere two-hour drive north of Stockholm,
the region has still more advantages from a communication point
of view, where fast-moving transports do not have to suffer from
heavy traffic loads, for example. Train and bus networks will fast
and easily provide you with the necessary links to your market.
The port of Gävle is the natural connection
where bulky goods or cargo has to be shipped to the international
market. It is, in fact, one of the largest ports in Sweden for despatching
e.g goods such as forestry products.
Welcome to the Baltic Sea markets!
To us in the BASE region contacts with the Baltic
Sea countries have a long historical tradition. This is also the
reason why these contacts are being actively followed up by our
local authorities, to provide your business with a broad and stable
base to work from.
